As a future Electro physiologist, also as an immigrant. It's very difficult to be a doctor which I used to be. I truly believes that it's impossible to be a doctor in Canada. I knew I should have recycled myself as early as possible. Since I am not the native English or French people, it's difficult to choose a major to study. Chart showing the increase in autism diagnosis. |
Recently, I read an article from CBC news. It's talking about it may have new way to diagnose autism. That finding is that brainwave test may help diagnose autism. From this news, I noticed that there are about 1/68 children have been diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder. As we know, there is not efficient way to diagnose autism. This news tell us this major goal of this research is to develop measurements to diagnose disorder. This study shows that it's possible to measure the process speed to identify how serious the autism of children is. It says that information which response from the brain associated with autism. If they can find how the brain activities effects the brainwave, which means it will approach the goal if they could find the standard. It seems it's not an easy job. Some experts consider that study area is quiet small and it could not provide more evident to show if this theory is correct. They also believes that it may be helpful if they could overcome the challenge. More experts will be done in the future.
I hope that this study goes forward very soon. Not only my career will be much important, but also many children who have autism will be diagnosed earlier.
